The importance of Surah Yasin is quoted by many scholars. It is classified as a Meccan surah, whose main theme is to explain some of the basic beliefs of Islam, specifically the belief in life after death. The surah reiterates God’s sovereignty and the existence of Resurrection. Surah Yaseen narrates about the punishments that were suffered by nonbelievers and their children and generations further.
